Linda Cook M.S., C.C.C.

Speech Language Pathologist

Joining the CHP team and helping to nurture their mission is Ms. Linda Cook.

She comes with over 40 years experience in the fields of Speech Language Pathology, Education, and Educational Leadership. As she moved from state to state (New York, Virginia, Arizona, Florida), Linda was quick to seek new and diverse professional opportunities.

Over the years, Ms. Cook completed hundreds of evaluations as a school-based SLP, owner of a private practice, Child Find diagnostician, self-contained ESE Teacher, Learning Resource Specialist, and consultant. She participated in countless inter-disciplinary meetings to assist in furthering the understanding of and addressing the needs of those individuals she assessed, as well as providing therapy and mentoring those individuals.

Ms. Cook’s experience also included providing speech language services in both in- and outpatient facilities, at critical care and memory care centers as well as home care. As a young SLP, Ms. Cook served as a member of the Health Department Peer Review Committee and as a member of the Speech Language Hearing Association Public Information Committee.

Later in her career, Ms. Cook’s interests led her to involvement in private school administration. After more than 20 years of receiving her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from the State University of NY at Albany, she returned to college taking

post graduate courses in Educational Leadership at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. As a result of this journey, Ms. Cook became a Dean, Head of Upper School, Director of Admissions, and ultimately a Principal at a Pre-K Through 8th grade school in SE Florida.

For the past 15 years, Linda has resided in Naples where she has spent the majority of that time working as a public school based SLP specializing in working with high needs students in Pre-K-5th grade. Due to her passion to advocate for and assist the families of her students, she participated in extensive and specialized training in order to become a certified Hanen Therapist as well as a certified Love and Logic Facilitator. She has relished the opportunity to provide training to parents as well as educators for the purpose of promoting children’s social, language, and literacy development. Ms. Cook specializes in working with families and their children who have been identified as being developmentally delayed as well as those on the autism spectrum.
