Nieves is originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where he was a graduate student at Moravian University completing his Master’s degree in Athletic Training. While at Moravian University, Nieves was granted the opportunity to complete multiple immersive clinical placements including Albright College, Pleasant Valley High School, St. Luke’s University Health Network, Monmouth University, and Muhlenberg College. These placements provided Nieves with invaluable knowledge, skills, and vast work experience between levels of health care. Nieves has worked for both NCAA and NAIA organizations on all levels.
Nieves comes to Core Health Partners after serving as Head Football Athletic Trainer at Ave Maria University. Here he was tasked with prevention, rehabilitation, and treatment of student athletes (primarily football, xc-track, lax, rugby) as well as maintaining proper documentation, scheduling, and referrals. Nieves currently resides in Naples, FL and is an avid outdoorsmans, who likes to paddle board, kayak, fish, and explore all of the beauty Naples has to offer!
